WEATHER:   This afternoon through Tuesday midday: Partly cloudy and breezy, becoming cloudy at times with isolated showers.

SURFACE WINDS:  This afternoon through Tuesday midday: East-northeasterly with a moderate to fresh breeze of 13 to 21 mph, and occasional higher gusts.

 

SYNOPSIS:  

The atmosphere across the region will remain sufficiently moist and unstable, generating isolated showers during this forecast period. Meanwhile, the Atlantic high pressure ridge will maintain breezy conditions.

Seas will remain moderate to rough and peak near 8 feet through tonight. Therefore, a small craft advisory remains in effect for St. Maarten. Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise caution.
