Today through Friday midday: Northeast to East with a gentle to moderate breeze of 09 to 18 miles per hour.

SYNOPSIS:

The Atlantic high pressure ridge will continue to influence a moderate easterly wind flow across the region. Therefore, mostly dry and stable conditions will prevail over the local area. Furthermore, hazy skies will persist as Saharan dust lingers across the region. As a result, persons with allergies and/or respiratory illnesses should continue take the necessary precautions.

Sea conditions are expected to remain slight to moderate for the next few days.

STATE OF THE SEA: Slight to Moderate        WAVES/SWELLS: 4 to 6 feet

SPECIAL FEATURE: At 11am today, Tropical Depression Two formed over the central Tropical Atlantic. With sustained winds of 35 miles mph and quickly moving toward the west near 16 mph. Some strengthening is forecast to occur and the system could become a Tropical Storm later today or Friday. After which, it is forecast to become an open trough East of the Lesser Antilles. MDS will continue to monitor this system closely and keep the public updated. 

OUTLOOK through Saturday midday: Partly cloudy, hazy and breezy with passing showers possible.
