This afternoon through Friday midday: Easterly to east southeasterly with a light to moderate breeze at 6 to 14 mph.

SYNOPSIS: 

A high pressure ridge will maintain a relatively stable atmosphere and light to moderate winds. Additionally, patches of moisture may cause isolated showers as they traverse the local area. Meanwhile, hot & humid conditions will persist. Stay hydrated, keep cool and to the shade when possible.
Smooth to slight sea conditions will prevail.



SPECIAL FEATURE: 

At 11:00 am the center of Tropical Storm Dolly was located approximately 1650 miles southeast of St. Maarten with winds near 40 mph and moving westward near 24 mph. Environmental conditions are expected to become increasingly unfavorable for further development from Friday, and Dolly is forecast to be a short-lived tropical cyclone.
Tropical Storm Dolly poses no direct threat to St. Maarten at this time.

The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to closely monitor Tropical Storm Dolly and conditions across the tropical Atlantic and provide updates as necessary.
