SYNOPSIS:
Moist and unstable conditions will prevail over the upcoming days. Expect periodic showers and likely thunderstorms. Those accessing flood- and rockslide prone areas are advised to exercise caution, as rainfall may result in flooding. A Flood Advisory or Watch will be issued as the situation warrants. Meanwhile, winds will slowly weaken.
Sea conditions will remain slight to moderate, with moderate conditions mainly affecting offshore areas along the eastern coastline.

STATE OF THE SEA: Slight to moderate WAVES/SWELLS: 3 to 5 feetvis

SPECIAL FEATURE: Tropical Storm Melissa remains at a safe distance away from St. Maarten and poses NO DIRECT THREAT to the island.
The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor the Atlantic and update the public accordingly.
