SURFACE WINDS: This afternoon through Thursday midday: Easterly to east southeasterly, with a light to moderate breeze, at 7 to 15 mph.

SYNOPSIS: A stabilizing atmosphere remains in the wake of a tropical wave. However, isolated showers are likely during the evening hours. Meanwhile, light to moderate winds will persist.
Seas are expected to remain slight to moderate.

STATE OF THE SEA: Slight to moderate      WAVES/SWELLS: 3 to 5 feet

visSPECIAL FEATURE: At 11AM, the Tropical Depression (TD) became Tropical Storm Gabrielle over the central tropical Atlantic. Current projections indicate this system will track approximately 552.3miles northeast of the island. At present, Gabrielle will pose NO DIRECT THREAT to Sint Maarten.
The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue monitoring the Atlantic and provide updates accordingly.

OUTLOOK through Friday morning: Partly cloudy. Isolated showers are possible.
