WEATHER:   This afternoon through Tuesday midday: Partly cloudy to cloudy and breezy with scattered showers.

SURFACE WINDS:  This afternoon through Tuesday midday: East-southeasterly with a gentle to fresh breeze of 12 to 19 mph and occasional gusts.

 

SYNOPSIS:  

Lingering moisture associated with a frontal boundary will cause cloudiness and showers across the region. Additionally, a high pressure system located north northeast of the local area will maintain mostly moderate winds.

 

Seas across the region remain hazardous, peaking at 13 feet with long-period northerly swells. Therefore, high surf and small craft warnings remain in effect. Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to avoid open waters. Persons with interests along the coast should secure their interests where possible and exercise extreme caution.

 

STATE OF THE SEA: Rough         WAVES/SWELLS: 09 to 13 feet
