SYNOPSIS:   

The Atlantic high-pressure system is the dominant feature. However, moisture from a strong tropical wave passing south of the region could be transported across the local area and produce a few showers. 

Slight to moderate seas are expected for the next few days.

SPECIAL FEATURE: A strong tropical wave passing through the southern Caribbean is will likely to become a tropical depression within the next couple of days. 

The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor the Atlantic and update the public accordingly.
