Twenty-four Sacred Heart Primary School teachers, school leaders and teacher’s assistants have embarked on a professional development programme titled Teachers of Promise (TOP).
The two-month programme on Saba was written and designed by Training Professionals International (TPI) firm’s Education Arm. Each participant will receive a “globally accredited” certificate upon completion. School Board President Anastasia Simmons said the school “will be able to serve their clients better and help to accomplish their studies and feel better at what they can produce.” Principal Diane Wilson shared the board’s sentiments. Natasha Gittens of TPI said the school board’s decision to implement the programme will help to raise the bar to make the school an institution of excellence.
