POND ISLAND--A meeting to allow political parties to submit their slates of candidates will be held at the new Government Administration Building on Monday, November 13, from 9:00am to 4:00pm, Prime Minister and General Affairs Minister William Marlin said in a press release on Thursday.
The endorsing of the slates of candidates will take place on Tuesday, November 14, from 9:00am to 4:00pm in the building where the Department of Civil Registry (Census Office) was previously housed across from the New Government Building at Soualiga Road #6. Persons wishing to endorse a slate of candidates must walk with valid ID and must be registered voters, he said.
A slate of candidates that does not get the required number of signatures on Tuesday, November 14, will be given a second opportunity to get the required amount on Wednesday, November 15, from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
Marlin said the Minister of General Affairs is responsible for designating a location where meetings of the Main Voting Bureau are held, in accordance with article 12 sub 6 of the Voting Ordinance.
