Police arrest girlfriend for trespassing, boyfriend runs

SIMPSON BAY--Police arrested a sixteen-year-old girl for trespassing on a property in the Pelican area. The police report said the girl was apprehended after she and her boyfriend decided to trespass and go swimming.

The caretaker of the home became aware of the situation and alerted police. The young man ran away and left his girlfriend behind, but later came to the station and explained that he had gotten permission from a third party to use the pool. Both were released after being questioned by police.
