MPs to discuss state of schools, borders today

PHILIPSBURG--The status of the schools and the state of sports and arts facilities and programmes are on the agenda of an urgent plenary meeting of Parliament with Education and Sports Minister Wycliffe Smith today, Friday, at 10:00am.


This meeting was requested by Members of Parliament (MPs) Silveria Jacobs, William Marlin and Ardwell Irion (National Alliance).
The continuation of the meeting of the Central Committee of Parliament about border control with Justice Minister Cornelius de Weever will follow at 2:00pm. This sitting was requested by MPs Jacobs, Christophe Emmanuel, and Jurendy Doran (NA) and Frans Richardson and Rolando Brison (United St. Maarten Party).
Both public parliamentary sessions will be carried live on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 115, Pearl Radio 98.1FM, SXMGOV Radio 107.9FM,
