PHILIPSBURG--As part of the introduction for students advanced to secondary education for the academic year 2017-2018, Sundial School students were given field trips to the Philipsburg police headquarters on Wednesday, August 16, and Milton Peters College (MPC) students on Thursday, August 17. The field trips consisted of general information given to students regarding the structure of the Police Force, including visits to different departments, and the daily operations.

Police Chief Carl John wished all students and teachers much success during the 2017-2018 academic year and said the Police Force will be rolling out several prevention programmes for the youth such as “Cops and Kids” and the “Teen and Police Service Academy (TAPS).”  The last school year was relatively calm regarding fights among students. This school year the police will show their presence more, to maintain order and security for all students.
