Moonsplash 2019 Music Festival goes full throttle this weekend

 ANGUILLA--Bankie Banx is set once again to host his annual Moonsplash Music Festival starting on Thursday evening, March 21, and continuing to Sunday evening, March 24, at his iconic Dune Preserve. Located on the beautiful beach of Rendezvous Bay it is billed as the coolest beach party in the Caribbean, and coincides as always with the full moon.

  The festival starts on Thursday evening with a bonfire and music by Bankie and the Moonsplash cast. Friday kicks off at the beach stage beginning at sundown with music by Mystic Vybz, DJ Dirty Matt and the Funky Horny Horns. The main stage will then become the focal point from 10:30pm to 2:00am with Omari Banks and the Mighty Diamonds, followed by an after party featuring DJ Dirty Matt.

  Afternoon activities on Saturday, March 23, begin at 1:00pm with a drum circle led by Judy Guthrie, followed by Rudeboy Earthlite XXXX & Ruff Edge on the beach stage starting at 6:30pm. DJ Ryan and Orange Grove will also be on the beach stage until 10:00pm. At 10:15pm, the main stage will open with Sheriff and the Deputy, followed by Bankie Banx and True Intensions. The last show of the evening will feature Third World and Julian Marley with a follow-on after party with DJ Sugar.

 The festival ends on Sunday with performances by The Mighty Springer & High Tensions String band, closing with a final jam session led by Bankie.
