May 3 now public holiday

PHILIPSBURG--Tuesday, May 3, has been declared a public holiday by the Council of Ministers. The decision was made in the Council’s meeting on Thursday, Prime Minister William Marlin announced late Thursday afternoon.

Tuesday replaces expected Saturday, April 30, as the public holiday.

Marlin said in a press statement, “We apologise for any inconvenience caused, especially those who already made the necessary preparations for April 30.”
