Marlin extends condolences on passing of Queen’s father

PHILIPSBURG--Prime Minister William Marlin has expressed condolences on the passing of Queen Máxima’s father, the late Jorge Horacio Zorrequiete Stafanini in Argentina on Tuesday, August 9

In a message to the queen, Marlin said it was “with great sorrow” that the sad news was received on the passing of Stafanini.

“We pray that God will grant you the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and the Royal Family,” Marlin said. “We join millions in the Kingdom and beyond in praying that his soul may rest in eternal peace, and wish you much strength and divine comfort during your time of bereavement. On behalf of the people and government of St. Maarten, I extend our deepest condolences to your Majesty and the Royal Family.”
