PETERS--Detectives are investigating a case of ill-treatment involving the man R.A.D. who assaulted his child’s mother on Lime Road at 11:00pm Wednesday.
According to police, an argument between R.A.D. and the mother of his child had taken place earlier. “This dispute got out of hand, which led to the suspect inuring with victim with a machete to her left arm and leg,” according to the police report.
The suspect turned himself in at the police headquarters later that night, where he was arrested and placed in custody for questioning. The machete used was also confiscated for further investigation.
The young lady was treated by paramedics.
