Magical Christmas moments at Bethel Methodist Church

Magical Christmas moments at Bethel Methodist Church

‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’, performed by Medical Band instrumentalists Marije Veerman (left) and Elaine Marchena.

ST. EUSTATIUS--Black Harry Lane was abuzz Sunday as worshippers made their way to and from the Christmas preview service at Bethel Methodist Church. With the theme: “Never Shone a Light So Bright”, the service retold the magical moments in Bethlehem through readings and carols that echoed from pulpit to pews.

The senior church choir took centre stage as liturgist Christina Timber-Glover kept the atmosphere in a state of joyful community celebration. Messages of faith, truth and tradition were common elements in the service.

Given the geographic separation of families and the community due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a host of recorded messages and greetings were shared over the church broadcast system.

More light will be shone through the traditional Candlelight Procession on Sunday, December 20 that will also take place at Bethel Methodist Church. All Statians are welcome.
