PHILIPSBURG--The Island Gems Charity Foundation has once again extended its support to local youth by donating new furniture to the No Kidding with Our Kids Foundation, commonly known as ASA. The donation covers 15 new folding tables to help enhance the foundation’s after-school care program for children aged 4 to 14.
During a presentation at the ASA center in the Lion’s Den, Assistant Director Chulyta Jubitana and Team Coordinator Minoiche Delices expressed their gratitude to Island Gems for the contribution. They noted that ASA’s goal is to create a nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and feel supported. The new tables will greatly improve how the team delivers the program each day.
Representing Island Gems at the handover were Alita Singh (President), Astrid Plantz, Asha Stevens, Ludmilla de Weever, and Marieke van Zadelhoff, who joined ASA staff in a tour of the facility.
“ASA has a proven record of providing care, structure, and positive engagement for St. Maarten’s children,” said Singh. “We are proud to continue supporting an organization that invests in our island’s future generation.”
The Island Gems Charity Foundation, the island’s oldest charity, celebrating more than 40 years of continuous community service. raises funds through its annual gala to assist educational, social, and cultural projects across both sides of the island.
