Iris not interested in C-level role; Chittick says ‘no’ for now, ‘but things can change’

PHILIPSBURG--NV GEBE Temporary Manager Iris Arrindell said she is not interested in pursuing one of GEBE’s C-level positions when recruitment for the roles reopens, stating that her goal is retirement.

Arrindell made the comments during her first press conference on Friday, held alongside members of GEBE’s management team, just five days after taking office.

Asked whether she would be interested in applying for one of the C-level positions when the recruitment process reopens, Arrindell said she is focused on assisting the utility company during her current assignment. “I am heading for retirement. I am always willing. That’s why I’m here to help because this is our company, but my goal is for retirement next year. It’s 65. Not right now,” Arrindell said.

GEBE’s Manager of Facilities Kenrick Chittick was also asked whether he would consider applying for one of the C-level positions. Chittick said he would currently decline if asked today. “I normally pray before I make decisions. I was asked four times in the past before I said yes because before I make a choice, I make a sound choice. At this point in time, if you ask me, I would say no, but things can change,” Chittick said.
