Information panels installed for new Préfecture and Judiciary Building

Notice boards on the site of the future administrative building in Concordia.

MARIGOT--The first information panels have been installed on the site of the future multi-purpose administrative building project for St. Martin and St. Barths situated next to the current Préfecture building in Concordia.

The 38-million-euro project financed under the State’s Recovery Plan will see a new administrative complex housing the departments and staff of the Préfecture, a new Courthouse and a Vice-Rectorat.

Other information will be posted at the entrance to the site, providing more details, particularly on the building permit and the partners (project owner, contractors, design and control offices, etc.).

The first stage before the actual start of work will see the intervention of the Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research of St. Martin INRAP. In the meantime, the entire site will be closed.

The Préfecture will hold regular briefings to keep the population informed of the project’s progress. Justice Real Estate Agency APIJ is the delegated contracting authority.
