Hurricane Expo set for Labega Square on Sat.

PHILIPSBURG--Government will host its “Ready, Set, Prepare” Hurricane Expo on Clem Labega Square in front of the old Government Administration Building on Saturday, June 22, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The entrance to the expo is free and is open to the public.

The idea behind the “Ready, Set, Prepare” theme and event is to create a one-stop shop for the community to obtain useful information on hurricane preparedness by service providers, government entities and non-governmental organisations, Prime Minister Leona Romeo-Marlin told the press this week.

The final Hurricane Expo Community Evening was held in St. Peters for that neighbourhood and surrounding areas on Thursday in St. Peters Community Center. The community evenings were designed to raise public awareness, and to encourage residents to make all storm/hurricane precaution preparations before the peak of the 2019 Atlantic Hurricane Season.
