The Asha Stevens and Helmich Snijders Hillside Christian Schools celebrated their group 8 classes during a graduation ceremony under the theme “Step up to Another Level” on Friday, June 28. Some 84 pupils graduated this year. The event was held at the Belaire Community Centre and was attended by Minister of Education Wycliffe Smith. Helmich Snijders campus valedictorian Silas Berkenveld encouraged his fellow graduates to get out of their comfort zone and step up to another level as they prepare to enter high school. Silas, the youngest graduate at 10 years old, shared how he was had been welcomed by his classmates and teachers when he first came to the island in 2017.
