Henderson to host session on insurance on June 13

Neil Henderson.

COLE BAY--Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Henderson International Neil Henderson will be hosting a session on insurance at the company’s Cole Bay office next to Tropicana Casino on June 13, at 2:30pm.

Henderson said the one-hour address aims at avoiding the repeat of some of the problems persons experienced after Hurricane Irma and to promote more understanding of how the insurance sector functions based on law and regulations.

“We are at the second season after Hurricane Irma and most people ask, can country St. Maarten and its people take another financial blow? Historically, we turn to Insurance-land for solutions. These solutions, however, should be clear and simple for families, businesses and Governments when making choices on how to best protect property and other valuable assets,” Henderson said in a press release over the weekend.

During the session, Henderson will provide “valuable information” to policyholders and those considering buying insurance. “Besides disputed claim-settlements, court cases and arbitration there is now an urgent need to equip policy holders with information on how to function in insurance-land after a catastrophe.”
