Genip tree set afire

A large genip tree behind Prins Willem Alexander Primary School in St. Peters was set afire by an unknown person Friday afternoon. Firemen were called to the scene and after extinguishing the fire they removed the charred parts of the trunk to prevent the tree from reigniting. One unpleasant situation the firemen faced was a man plainly urinating in the trench while they were working at the site of the fire.
