PHILIPSBURG--Utilities company GEBE is currently load-shedding in some districts due to “challenges” being experienced at its Cay Bay power plant as it relates to power production.
The company said it experienced the issues on Friday. “Load-shedding throughout some districts has been implemented and will continue until the situation is resolved,” GEBE said in a press release. “The load-shedding will be for a maximum duration of 90 minutes or less,” the company said.
GEBE’s announcement came on Friday, however, several districts experienced outages in some cases, for more than an hour on Thursday.
