Friday official holiday. All businesses must be closed

GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten--The Ministry of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Traffic and Telecommunication (Ministry TEATT) announces, that Friday – Good Friday – March 25 is an official holiday, and that all businesses must be closed. 

  “According to the Law on Shop Closure (Article 3), the aforementioned is not applicable to the following businesses: Pharmacies, as far as it concerns the sale of medicine and medical products; Bars and restaurants; Hotels and guesthouses; Stores located in hotels and on airport and harbor premises; Funeral parlors; Gas stations; and bakeries selling pastries, milk and milk products,” the ministry stated in a press release.
