PHILIPSBURG--Four men were arrested by police detectives for stealing a considerable amount of cash from Jade Dollar Store on Bush Road in Cul de Sac on Friday.
One of the suspects found his way unnoticed into the main office of the establishment and stole a bag containing the cash.
After committing this act, the culprits left the scene in a small rental car.
After management realised what had taken place, they immediately informed the police. A description of the suspects was also given.
A search to locate the car and suspects in question started immediately. The presumed getaway vehicle was stopped by investigating officers in the area of Princess Juliana International Airport later that day and a bag containing the stolen cash was located during a search.
All the money that had been taken was accounted for. The four men were arrested on the spot and taken to the Philipsburg police station for questioning.
