Four chefs from the Netherlands engaged in a cooking session with local chefs and students.

The four chefs from the Netherlands, who are on island for the Fete de La Cuisine culinary event engaged in a cooking session with the chefs and students of the National Institute for Professional Advancement (NIPA) and two residents of the Miss Lalie Meyers Center on November 8. Chefs Alexander Adoptie and Renata de Weever assisted by chef Macatiz Degrammond of the Miss Lalie Center instructed the visiting chefs how to make some local delicacies. The dishes were part of a four course lunch that was served to invited dignitaries and other guests at NIPA Restaurant.  The menu included Johnny cakes and salt fish, curry coconut chicken served with Colombo vegetables and other treats. Photo shows Prime Minister William Marlin with visiting chefs from the Netherlands and NIPA staffers.
