Fireworks

Fire Fly Family Fireworks has been selling fireworks of all sizes at the soccer practice field behind the Little League Ballpark since Tuesday morning, and smiles and excitement were evident on the faces of children and adults alike. The police have advised, “Wear proper eye protection and clothing. Keep the fireworks at a safe distance from flammable material and spectators. Use fireworks only as intended; don’t try to alter them, combine them or relight after failure. Choose an open area away from gas stations, bulk stations, churches, hospitals and homes for the elderly. Think on your pets. If someone gets burnt, apply cold water and seek immediate medical attention by calling the Emergency Medical Services 912. In the event of a fire emergency, call the Fire Department 919.” (John Halley photo)
