This portrait made by young St. Maarten artist Andy Flanders of his grandmother Lillian is going to be exhibited at the 34th International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS) Juried Exhibition 2019 Convention Show in Albuquerque, New Mexico, June 4-9. IAPS was founded in 1994 as a non-profit organisation representing pastel societies worldwide.
“This is my first time submitting a piece into this show. I’m honoured to be accepted on my first try. I’m glad to exhibit a portrait of someone from St. Maarten,” said Flanders, who is currently studying and working in the United States.
