This dead palm tree has some residents of the narrow Queen’s Palm Drive nervous as Tropical Storm Isaac approaches the local area. The dead tree has been an eyesore for more than a month now. Prior to this photo, the street was also cluttered with an old mattress and other debris. Those were removed and possibly hauled away to the dump, but they left behind the one lonesome dead tree to taunt Hurricane Irma-rattled residents who hope it can be removed before the effects of Isaac are felt locally.
