COVID-19 cases on French  side up to 11 as of Friday

 

MARIGOT—Another new coronavirus COVID-19 case in St. Martin has been hospitalized bringing total cases to date up to 11, the Préfecture and health agency ARS reported on Friday.

  Of the seven hospitalized cases mentioned in the ARS bulletin, five are in the Louis-Constant Fleming Hospital, and two were transferred to the Guadeloupe University Hospital (the latest case and the pregnant woman transferred a week ago).

  The Préfecture clarified one patient, a 63-year-old American, is no longer in hospital in St. Martin having been evacuated to Miami in critical condition on Thursday as reported by the Miami Channel 7 TV News station, and relayed by 721 News in St. Maarten, making actual hospital cases in St. Martin one less.

  He was on vacation in St. Martin but it was not known how long he was in hospital here.

  Four other cases continue to be monitored at home.  St. Barths has four cases confined to their homes.
