Country's Fourth Parliament sworn-in

HARBOUR VIEW--St. Maarten's fourth Parliament in under eight years was sworn-in by Governor Eugene Holiday this morning at his Cabinet. 

  The 15-member legislature will guide the country's laws and supervise the current caretaker government and the eventual new coalition government when one is formed. 

  The new Parliament comprise seven Members of Parliament from the United Democrats, five National Alliance, two United St. Maarten Party and one St. Maarten Christian Party.

  The 15 were elected in the snap election of February 26. That election brought four new MPs to Parliament - Dr. Luc Mercelina of the United Democrats, Jurendy Doran (NA), Rolando Brison (US Party) and Wycliffe Smith (SMCP).
