Colombus Hotel reopens its doors

OYSTER POND--More signs of St. Maarten’s tourism industry recovery from the devastation of Hurricane Irma almost seven months ago are becoming visible. One small sign is the reopening of The Colombus Hotel in Oyster Pond.

This seven-suite boutique hotel is back in working order and is ready for guests. Each suite can sleep up to four persons.
The “small and charming” hotel provides “quietness and serenity in a residential area,” according to the property’s description. Two restaurants are available close by - L’Escale with traditional French and Creole food, and Le Planteur, offering fine French cuisine with local spices.
