COCI launches online payment module

PHILIPSBURG--The St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce and Industry (COCI) on Friday launched its online payment module during a reception at its office on Cannegieter Street.

Persons can now request and pay for services online using means of payment such as a credit card. They can request excerpts, review excerpts and search for companies online, amongst other things.

COCI President Peggy Ann Brandon said COCI decided to launch this latest service to ensure that COCI gives “the ultimate service” to consumers from the comfort of their homes. She said consumers can now request and pay for services and purchase products online from the comfort of their own homes or offices.

COCI had launched COCI Online in 2016 and since the Chamber has been developing secondary services such as company searches, requesting historical excerpts and previewing excerpts etc.

From April of this year, COCI had been testing the new service and it also did some training with law offices and notaries, exposing them to the portals to see if they were user friendly and to get feedback to tweak and improve before the launch.
