Central Bank deregisters Mr. D’s Insurance Agency

WILLEMSTAD/PHILIPSBURG--The registration of Mr. D’s Insurance Agency was withdrawn as of July 1 by the Central Bank of Curaçao and St. Maarten (CBCS). The firm had registered to exercise the insurance brokerage business in the two countries of the monetary union. The withdrawal of registration, notice of which was published in the National Gazette (“Landscourant” in Dutch) on August 4, is in accordance with article 10 paragraph 4 of the National Ordinance of 24, October, 2003, containing regulation of the insurance brokerage business (AB 2013, GT. 708). Removal from the register implies that Mr. D’s Insurance Agency is no longer allowed to exercise the insurance brokerage business in St. Maarten and Curaçao, according to the notice.
