Carnival Committee seeking slogan ideas from the public

MARIGOT--The French-side Carnival Committee FCDSM is reaching out to the general public to participate in a challenge by submitting attractive slogans to be used on all marketing items for the next three years.


The person who submits the most captivating slogan will be granted a season pass to St. Martin Carnival for three years.
“Carnival is a time for us as a people to celebrate our culture and have a festive time. We must remember that Carnival belongs to all of us, so therefore, your input is very important,” FCDSM President Luciana Raspail stated.
The slogan for St. Martin Carnival will be displayed on Carnival posters, radio ads, calendars, promotional items and FCDSM’s Facebook page. The slogan must include a maximum of five words and all submissions must be emailed to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The deadline for all slogan submissions is September 1, 2017.
“We anticipate receiving hundreds of submissions to choose from, so you are encouraged to create a slogan that will be dynamic, memorable, short and sweet for your Carnival and urge others to do the same,” Raspail added. FCDSM invites the entire population to save the dates, participate and celebrate in St. Martin’s Carnival festivities from January 26 to February 14, 2018.
