BDO St. Maarten launches donation campaign to mark 20th anniversary

BDO St. Maarten has launched a community donation campaign.

PHILIPSBURG--BDO (Binder, Dijker and Otte) St. Maarten has launched a community donation campaign as part of BDO Dutch Caribbean’s 20th anniversary, through which 20 local good causes across Curaçao, St. Maarten, and Bonaire will each receive a contribution of 1,000 Caribbean Guilders.

The initiative, known as the BDO Anniversary Donation Campaign, reflects the firm’s long-standing commitment to community development and its guiding principle of “people helping people.”

While BDO Curaçao celebrated the milestone earlier this year with a client appreciation event, BDO St. Maarten chose to mark the occasion by focusing on the local community. Throughout November, residents are invited to nominate and vote for their favourite local causes – organisations that, according to the firm, “make a real difference on the island.”

“At BDO St. Maarten, our success has always been built on relationships – with our clients, our people, and our community,” said Paul Lungu, Managing Partner of BDO St. Maarten. “This campaign is our way of saying thank you to St. Maarten by supporting those who dedicate themselves to building a better island for all.”

The 20 causes across the three islands that receive the highest number of votes by November 30, 2025, will each be awarded Cg 1,000, recognising their continued contributions to social and community well-being. A live ranking of votes will be available on the campaign website throughout November, allowing the public to track the results in real time.

The initiative complements other community efforts by the firm, including sponsorship of the BDO Half Marathon, part of its “Fit for Life. Fit for BDO.” well-being and community program. Together, these projects underscore the firm’s ongoing commitment to support and strengthen the communities it serves.

“Our 20th anniversary is more than a milestone – it’s a moment to reflect, appreciate, and give back,” said Gerd Glaudemans, CEO of BDO Dutch Caribbean. “Every nomination and vote is a way to celebrate those who inspire us every day.”

As the firm closes its anniversary year, BDO St. Maarten is inviting everyone to take part, to nominate, vote, and help recognise the island’s most impactful community initiatives.

Residents can visit the BDO website, accessible via QR code, to submit nominations and cast their votes throughout November.
