ST. EUSTATIUS--Vannessa Barnes and Wilbert Harrigan won the Pure White Party Bachatta Competition. Five couples participated in the competition and after the third and final found Barnes and Harrigan were declared the winners.
They received two prizes. Barnes took home two round-trip tickets to Santo Domingo, courtesy of Blue Bead Airways, and Harrigan won a Samsung J6 phone.
The Pure White Party featured entertainers DJ Zander Zone (Saba), DJ Eagle (St. Maarten), DJ Ricky (Dominican Republic) and DJ Runnthings and DJ Sense (St. Eustatius).
The party at Boardwalk Café with the theme “Soul Train” continued until the early hours of Saturday morning. It was the largest Pure White Party to date. The Police Department had to stop traffic from travelling beyond the foot of Hillhead/Slave Path as the traffic congestion became too much. If something would have happened, the Fire Department would not have been able to get through, a Police Officer said.
The Police were also quite visible at the party to ensure law and order was maintained at all times.
