April 3 deadline for parties to submit 2017 annual reports

PHILIPSBURG--The Electoral Council reminds all thirteen political parties registered with the Council in 2017 that the final day to submit their annual reports is Tuesday, April 3.

An Electoral Council representative will be available to receive the annual reports in the Government Administration Building conference room IV on Tuesday from 9:00am to 6:00pm.

All parties, also those that did not contest the 2018 parliamentary election, are required to submit their annual reports to the Electoral Council as stipulated in Article 27 of the National Ordinance on Registration and Finances of Political Parties.

The 2017 annual report should be accompanied by a financial report, with a statement of a certified accountant, as stated in Article 28 of the National Ordinance. Failure to comply with the Ordinance may result in a penalty being imposed on the defaulting party.
