Several ministers were present

WILLEMSTAD--Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas joined beverage distributor Distribier on Wednesday for the official launch of a special edition Amstel Bright bottle inspired by Curaçao’s national football team. The initiative forms part of the island’s growing “BlueNation” campaign surrounding Curaçao’s historic qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to organisers, the special edition bottle represents more than just a commercial product. It is intended as a symbol of national pride, unity and the unique spirit of the people of Curaçao during what is being described as a milestone for the island.

It aims to transform Curaçao into a “BlueNation” as excitement builds around the national football team, also known as “The Blue Wave.”

The launch follows a series of football-related promotional events and celebrations tied to Curaçao’s first-ever appearance at a FIFA World Cup, scheduled to begin next month in the United States.
