Thursday was the last sitting for seasoned Court Registrar Alex Jack, who has been on the job at the Courthouse for some 20 years. As Court proceedings wrapped up on Thursday, Judge Mauritsz de Kort took the opportunity to gather colleagues present and acknowledge the moment. He told a very humble Jack that he would be dearly missed, and said Jack had both learned a lot and taught a lot to others. He has been training Court Administrator Alison Osepa to take his place. “Those will be big shoes to fill,” the Judge said. Jack will be leaving the island.
