A “dry run” of the new parking procedures at the Clem Labega Square went into effect on Monday.

Motorists now enter at the entrance opposite Windward Islands Bank and take a ticket before parking. The exit is at the Cannegieter Street and motorists can only make a right when exiting. On Friday, a motorist complained that drivers have no clue when the lot is full until reaching the ticketing machine and they are unable to get a ticket, at which time other vehicles block them in and they cannot move from their location until a space is available. The sign that indicates that the lot is full is located at the ticketing booth and is in Dutch, leaving motorists who are not fluent in Dutch clueless.
