Super Optician: Quality, convenience and endless options

Super Optician, headed by Optician Olivier Grillo, offers a wide selection of prescription glasses, sunglasses, contact lenses, hearing aids, as well as eye- and ear-testing. Having opened its doors in August, it has become known for a wide assortment of styles, including great customisation options to suit everyone’s needs and preferences – as well as friendly, professional service.

Even people who don’t need prescription glasses can take a proactive step in protecting their eye health by using glasses with a blue light filter. This helps to prevent damage to the retina, and is recommended especially for those of us that spend lots of time looking at computer and phone screens.

Customers can book an appointment conveniently by phone or on social media, and come into the office with or without a prescription; Super Optician fills any prescription, and also offers in-house vision exams for just US $40.

Basic frames start at just $69, and Super Optician has a large selection of options within this range – around 250.

Optional but very worthwhile additions to the basic frames include transition-, anti-reflective-, and blue-light-filter lenses. The blue-light-filter lenses in particular, are made from special material, rather than being coated. The coating can cause a yellow tinge and leave a residual effect on the lenses.

Progressive lenses are available – in addition to traditional bifocal lenses – which provide a seamless transition in prescription strengths, from high to low.

Sunglasses are also available in many styles. Most, but not all, are available with prescription lenses. Polarised sunglasses offer better quality vision, by eliminating white reflections, for example, over water or on the car’s dashboard. Opting for both glasses and sunglasses? You’ll get a great deal on the second pair by paying for just one of the lenses.

Lots of designer frames are on offer, from Calvin Klein, to Fossil, Lacoste and Jimmy Choo. The kids will love frames designed just for them, with Spiderman, Star Wars, Disney Princess and Avengers themes among the selections.

Why not design your own custom frames? Choose your own shape, colour and design and add a glossy or matte finish. Handmade in France, your custom frames will be delivered to the office in just two to three weeks!

Super Optician also offers help in bettering your hearing with Tune Amp, a pre-programmed hearing aid, starting at $450. The discrete aid comes at a great price, considering that hearing devices can easily cost well over $1,000. Enquire about the free trial on offer!
