HOW YOU CAN HELP AND MAKE AN IMPACT

Individual support, once multiplied by the community at large, increases the impact to the youth, the vulnerable groups in the community and the communities we serve in disasters or crises. All proceeds go towards our ongoing and upcoming programs. The following are some examples:

  • Work, Training and Social Development (WTSD) Program

The annual transitional 10-month program increases the employability of youth coming from vulnerable and troubled backgrounds by providing work experience, a full scholarship, life-skills and “work-ready” workshops and volunteer projects amongst other key elements, such as mentors, tutors and more.

  • K1 DIRECT (K1’s Disaster Relief and Crisis Team)

K1’s Disaster Relief & Crisis Team consists of volunteers trained in various medical, psychosocial and disaster management areas. Support helps to keep the volunteers trained as well as to obtain the needed equipment and supplies needed to effectively assist in disasters.

  • Volunteer Community Projects

The Community Projects span various fields such as seniors, youth, sports, animals, nature, and education. The regular community projects offer volunteers a chance to contribute their skills and time, fostering a strong community connection.

Purchase tickets: Individuals, companies and clubs are encouraged to participate. Purchase tickets for yourself, encourage support by staff or club members or purchase tickets as a company or club. Tickets are being sold at the K1 Britannia Foundation Office at the Brooks Tower, Suite A3 in Philipsburg, at supermarkets Carrefour and Cost U Less this Saturday, February 17.
