The 44th Regatta is ON!

~ Time for some Serious Fun parties ~

Finally, the moment we’ve all been waiting for – the 44th St. Maarten Heineken Regatta is upon us! From tonight until Sunday evening, the party is on at the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta Village at Princess Port de Plaisance and the various Green Zones – for sailors and party animals alike.

The upcoming four days of world-class sailing races attract sail enthusiasts from all over the world to our shores, but as usual, the serious fun does not stop on the water. Each racing day will be complemented by an exciting line-up of both local and international artistes for some serious fun on land for everyone – whether you are into sailing or not.

Tonight, the festivities kick off with an exhilarating DJ Battle featuring local DJs Lil’R, Flames, Matthiias, Shawty, Prince and Stov3, hosted by Suppa Kid and MC Rummer. Come out and support you favourite local DJ and start this long-awaited party weekend off right.

Tomorrow, Friday, March 1, the Heineken Regatta embraces the power of a good throwback song. Caribbean icons Kevin Lyttle and Rupee take the Village stage as the evening's headliners, serenading the audience with their chart-topping hits “Turn me On” and “Tempted to Touch” from back in the day. The Friday line-up also features local talents King T-Mo, Control Band and Mix Master Pauly for a Friday night out you won’t forget!

Following the throwback concert, party-goers will head to the Green Zone at Soggy Dollar Bar to dance under the stars to the beat of SikDuo, one of Jersey’s favourite DJ groups.

On Saturday afternoon, March 2, music enthusiasts will party in the Green Zone in the sky at Elev8 at Rainforest Adventures with DJ Joey Daniel, supported by local DJs Ajay Raw and Jayson Miro from 3:00 to 9:00pm.

In the evening, French Urban pop duo DROXYANI graces the stage at Port de Plaisance for an island-wide dance party to their French infusion of Caribbean sounds. The line-up also includes local artistes King James, Latin Sugar, Urmain Drum Band, local DJs, and a carnival dance performance, creating a vibrant Caribbean melange you won’t want to miss.

The party does not stop there! After the show, party animals will flock to the open-air Moonbar to dance under the moon with internationally-renowned melodic house DJ Klingande, supported by DJs Killian Christolome and Phil Conti.

Sunday, March 3, is all about celebrating the final day of the Regatta with international artiste Tarrus Riley, a Jamaican-American and true Rastafarian. Backed by Blind Earz, artiste Adam O from the US Virgin Islands gets the party started with soca and reggae tunes. DJ Puffy will also make his debut on the Regatta stage, known for his unique Caribbean-EDM sound. Local talents Tamillia Chance and Kenyo Baly round up the stage, showcasing the home-grown musical talent of St. Maarten.

All these incredible artistes will perform at the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta Village at Princess Port de Plaisance daily, beginning after the Regatta prize-giving around 6:00pm. The bars will offer ice-cold Heinekens, together with celebratory bottles and glasses of Veuve Clicquot champagne and a variety of Tito’s Vodka cocktails. With abundant food and entertainment suitable for all ages, the Regatta Village will open to the public daily from 3:00pm.
