Safe and Stylish Dining @ Izi

Safe and Stylish Dining @ Izi

Restaurants on the Dutch side were finally able to resume their dine-in services this week. After months of eating at home, it is with much anticipation that we are finally able to enjoy those lovely dinner dates. Of course, health should still be prioritized, which is why all restaurants must adhere to strict standards to ensure social distancing and sanitization. A local favourite known for its excellent Italian cuisine, chic ambiance, and fantastic wine selection, iZi Ristorante Italiano is definitely on the Out ‘n About’s “can’t-wait-to-go-back-list”.

Conveniently located in Simpson Bay, iZi has been a popular restaurant for over a decade. The fresh homemade dishes, fair prices, lovely personnel, and contemporary décor will have you coming back for more. Even during a worldwide pandemic, iZi is known to go above and beyond – not only did they transform their restaurant into a COVID-19 low risk environment by separating booths with plexiglass, sterilizing all tables before and after use, and having all employees wear facemasks, but they also made the most out of the situation by offering special promotions and oven-ready meals.

Despite the measures, the restaurant’s white and red interior is as sleek and spacious as always. Take for instance the seating; where other restaurants may just separate their tables, iZi offers stylish protective inside seating with clear plexiglass so you can still “see and be seen” in your classy dinner outfit while enjoying your delicious meal. Prefer outdoor dining? No problem. The tables on iZi’s romantic covered patio are all placed according to social distancing guidelines.

Patrons can enjoy iZi’s full menu, including their famous branzino allo champagne; ossobucco di vitello; and seafood amore pasta. But iZi would not be iZi if they did not offer more. Their Summerlicious menu offers diners a three-course meal at an extremely reasonable price. According to owner David, this is easily one of the best deals and it is not difficult to understand why. Think bruschetta, caprese, Caesar salad or soup as appetizer; mains such as chicken parmigiana, salmone all anetto, lasagne (meat or veggie) or fettucine vodka shrimps; and meringue lemon tarte or black forest to finish sweet – all for just $24.95. Or indulge in their deluxe menu for just $34.95 including luxurious options such as burrata, tuna tartare, lobster bisque, rack of lamb, asparagus and shrimps risotto, lobster ravioli, tiramisu, and panna cotta.

Don’t worry, iZi still offers their great deals for take-out and delivery for those nights when you just want to stay in. Besides the Summerlicious menu, their full menu is available at a 25% discount for take-out and delivery. Just make sure to tell them what time you would like to pick it up or have it delivered, so that they can guarantee ultimate freshness and the right temperature.

Better yet, iZi now offers their specialty oven-ready meals so you can enjoy restaurant quality meals at any time. These are freshly made refrigerated meals – just reheat in your oven or microwave to enjoy a delicious homemade dish whenever you see fit. Options include a $7.95 salmon and spinach quiche; pork loin with pepper sauce for $7.95; Sicilian style veal for $9.95; lasagne (meat or veggie) for just $9.95; and chicken with mushroom sauce for $7.95. For a complete meal, pair with one of their many fresh sides, such as rice and veggies, starting at $4.95. The meals are prepared daily and can be kept fresh for up to six or seven days, so you can even plan ahead – perfect for those busy weeknights or lunch at work.

Closed on Mondays, iZi is open daily from 11:00am till 10:00pm. For reservations, orders, or more information, call +1 (721) 544-3079.
