McDonald’s celebrates community spirit with Caribbean Eagles

The Caribbean Eagles Harley-Davidson Bike Festival has been an iconic event in St. Martin for 15 years, celebrating freedom, unity, and the thrill of the open road. McDonald’s St. Martin is honoured to take centre stage as the main sponsor, reinforcing its dedication to the local community and its mission to enhance the quality of life in St. Martin.

Each year around St. Maarten / St. Martin Day, the Caribbean Eagles group organises a Bike Fest with motorcycle riders from around the world traveling to St. Maarten to participate. “By doing that, we promote and bring in people to St. Maarten during a slow time and give them such a good time they get hooked and return yearly,” says Caribbean Eagles Treasurer and Marketing Head Jane Therond-Netto.

Not only does the event help promote St. Maarten/ St. Martin as destination, but the organisers also aim to contribute to the community each year. This year, the Caribbean Eagles are giving back to three projects: the sponsoring of one of K1 Brittania’s students; giving out helmets for children; and financing air conditioning for a foster home.

“Without McDonald’s, we would not be able to pull this off,” says Therond-Netto. McDonald’s St. Martin shares common values with the Caribbean Eagles, emphasizing quality, innovation, and community spirit. This partnership is a natural fit for an event that unites Harley-Davidson enthusiasts and celebrates the joy of riding.

“At McDonald’s St. Martin, we’re not just about great food; we’re about giving back to the community,” says a spokesman from McDonald’s St. Martin. “Much like the Caribbean Eagles, we’re dedicated to making St. Martin a better place. We’re thrilled to be the main sponsor and look forward to celebrating this 15th anniversary with the entire community.”

This year’s Bike Fest will take place November 9-13 with lots of bike rides, good food and drinks, live music and parties. “As a final note, we would like to ask the people of St. Maarten to welcome all the foreigners and be extra careful with them on the road,” says Therond-Netto.

About McDonald’s St. Martin: McDonald’s St. Martin is part of the McDonald’s family, committed to serving delicious food and beverages while actively contributing to the local community. With a passion for quality and community engagement, McDonald’s continues to be a trusted and beloved brand on the island.
