Join hands for a cleaner Mullet Bay @ McDonald’s and Nature Foundation’s Beach Clean-up

This Saturday, March 9, the golden arches of McDonald’s and Nature Foundation St. Maarten are uniting to clean up one of our most beloved beaches: Mullet Bay! As part of their shared commitment to environmental responsibility, McDonald’s is teaming up with the Nature Foundation to tackle pollution head-on. This exciting initiative is not just about cleaning up; it’s about making a lasting impact on our beloved island.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 9, and set your alarms to give you enough time to get ready to meet up at Mullet Bay for 7:00am! The beach clean-up at Mullet Bay promises an early morning filled with camaraderie, environmental consciousness and a sense of accomplishment as participants join hands for the wellbeing of Mullet Bay and our island paradise.

As a token of appreciation, McDonald’s is offering a special treat for the dedicated volunteers! The first 50 participants will receive McDonald’s gift vouchers for a free meal – a delightful way to refuel after a morning of meaningful work. It’s McDonald’s way of saying thank you for being a part of this impactful initiative!

McDonald’s is more than just a restaurant; it’s a responsible member of the community. This beach clean-up is one of many steps the fast-food giant is taking to contribute to the community. By teaming up with Nature Foundation, McDonald’s hopes to inspire the community to actively participate in caring for our island and ocean.

This beach clean-up is part of the larger “In-No-Plastic” project. The In-No-Plastic project comprises an association of 17 partners and 10 different countries in Europe and the Caribbean. The Nature Foundation works alongside the Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance (DCNA), a participating partner. In-No-Plastic began in October 2020, and is a project funded with a 7.4 Million Euro grant from the EU H2020 research project, under the call “Pilot action for the removal of marine plastics and litter” Topic ID: CE-FNR-09-2020 (Grant Agreement 101000612).

McDonald’s and Nature Foundation invite you to be a part of this meaningful event. Join them on March 9 at Mullet Bay at 7:00am and make a difference. Don’t miss out on your chance to grab a McDonald’s gift voucher for a free meal – it’s a delicious way to celebrate your commitment to a cleaner, healthier environment for all. Together, let’s create waves of change and keep our beaches pristine!
