Jam with Soggy for SXM Day @ LED There Be Light Parade

On St. Maarten Day, Friday, November 11, all roads lead to Soggy Dollar Bar for their Around the Lagoon “LED There Be Light” Parade. Jam in the parade with the fabulous Triple K Band performing live on Soggy’s legendary truck, which will take party animals all around Simpson Bay and Cole Bay before heading back to Soggy for a crazy after-party with live performances from Triple K and Asa Banta alongside our favourite local deejays. This is one jam you won’t want to miss!

The Around the Lagoon parade will start at Soggy Dollar Bar’s parking lot in Simpson Bay. Revellers will follow the Soggy truck from Soggy onto Airport Road towards the causeway, then go over the causeway, take Union Road through Cole Bay, pass under the hill onto Welfare Road, and head back onto Welfare Road towards Soggy for the official after-party!

For the parade’s grand finale, the truck will park in front of Soggy, and Triple K will perform on the truck. Asa Bantan will also be jamming on the truck throughout the parade, but will perform once inside at Soggy alongside our local deejays Outkast, King Kembe, Maestro and Big Boss.

Of course, everyone is welcome to the after-party. It’s a St. Maarten Day celebration for all! Those without a parade T-shirt can just pay the entrance fee to join in on all the fun!

According to Soggy Dollar Bar owner Kurt Luckert, they decided to organise this parade to give back to the community through fun events. “It’s way overdue – we have not organised one of our infamous Sensation White parties since January 2020. I realized we also did not have J’ouvert, so I decided to do a parade for St. Maarten Day,” he told the Out N About.

The limited pre-sale shirts are still available for $30. Once they sell out, prices will be raised to $45 per shirt, so hurry and order now by calling or messaging +1 (721) 545-3337 or +1 (721) 520-6136.
